Paper Nest Dolls GDT and Christmas Give-away

Hello, Friends. Today I’m sharing a card I made for the December 10th Release of The Paper Nest Dolls stamps. This release has 6 fashion dolls and 2 winter stamps. Pop in at the Inspiration Blog for a peek at the adorable new dolls.

I’m also having a crafty give-away at the end of my post in celebration of Christmas. So stay tuned!

My card features a stamp called “Skiing Ellie.” I made a winter scene for Ellie as she flies down the slopes of powder in the Colorado Mountains. LOL I had to throw that in there. :)

I used some designer papers from BoBunny, Dear Santa collection paired with Bazzill cardstock. This card has loads of texture with embossing powder, snow paste, liquid applique, foil and glitter.

I had so much fun applying the foil on my image. I used Iridescent Deco Foil and my glue pen. It was easy to adhere; just write with the glue pen, let dry, place the foil on and rub with your finger or bone folder. I foiled her goggles, skis, poles and portions of her outerwear. It looks much better in real life as it takes on different colors depending on how the light shines on the foil. A bit of a holographic effect.

Here’s a close up of Ellie colored with Copics. She looks like she could use some hot cocoa with a peppermint candy cane and marshmallows. That's one of my favorite wintertime Holiday beverage.

I hope you enjoyed a look at my card. Now for the fun part…I am giving away some crafty goodies. All you need to do is:

1.  Become a follower if you aren’t already and,
2. Leave a comment and tell me your favorite wintertime Holiday treat or beverage.

I will randomly choose a winner on Christmas Eve. The give-away package has stamps, dies, Distress Ink pads, 6 x 6 paper pads and some other crafty goodies. Good Luck and see you back here on Christmas Eve!

Have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Midweek Magnolias - Anything Festive

Happy Hump Day, Friends!

It’s time for a new challenge at Midweek Magnolias and our challenge is…

“Anything Festive”

Join us for the challenge and follow the theme and our roolz and you may have a chance to win a surprise from Magnolia Sweden.

My DT card for this challenge features “Snowy Tilda with Gifts” from the 2015 Lovely Christmas collection. You can get it in the Magnolia-licious store. I used some new DPs from BoBunny’s Sleigh Ride collection and I paired them with Kraft paper. I had to use some of my new DooHickey dies so I chose the snowy scene and added Prima Snow Paste for dimension and texture.

I colored my Tilda with Copics then cut her out with my PixScan from Silhouette. No more sore fingers fussy cutting images. It works like a charm and I love its versatility. I added some pretty Stickles to Tilda’s packages and snowflakes. Her puffy pompom was created with Liquid Applique and I used glossy accents for her boots. All of the die cut flowers and snowflakes got a bit of Stardust Stickles as well.

Here is a close up of Tilda. She is such a cutie.

I hope I’ve inspired you to join us for the challenge

Have a Happy Holiday Season!!!

Magnolia-licious - Fancy Folds

Hello, Magnolia Friends. It is my turn to share my Magnolia-licious DT inspiration for the current challenge…

*****Fancy Folds*****

You have until January 11 to join in for a chance to win a prize from Magnolia-licious.

My card features a new stamp called “Lingonberry Light Tilda” from the 2015 A Lovely Christmas collection

I created a traditional color palette of red, gold and green with papers from Maja Design paired with Bazzill cardstock. Some of the new DooHickey dies from Vol. #8 are on my card. I love the fabulous 3-D effects of the fir tree branch. I set the adorable bird on it along with some red and gold berries from my stash and candy cane dies cuts from La-La-Land.

I used the adorable patchwork die to create two sweet hearts. Aren’t they so darling? My poinsettias are created with DooHickey dies and layered with some fabulous diamond dust for a bit of sugar coated glistening. The sentiment is a digital stamp from LOTV.

The inside of my card features a fabulous fold from the Silhouette store called Christmas Pop Up Card in which I modified for a 6x6 inch card created by Daniela Angelova at Silhouette America. How festive is that!?!

Here's a close up of Tilda colored with Copics. Hope you like it...

By now you know the rules for the “Leave a Comment” prize. Commenting on all the DT and Challenge posts gives you a better chance to win. I will choose the random winner on January 10 of all comments received from DT Magnolia-licious posts and the challenge blog.

Come and join us for the challenge with plenty of time to create a fabulous fancy fold creation and you’ll have a chance to win a prize from the random draw of entries.

Happy Hump Day, Friends!

It’s time for a new challenge at Midweek Magnolias and this fortnight our challenge is…

Pink and Green

Join us for the challenge and follow the theme and our roolz and you may have a chance to win a surprise from Magnolia Sweden.

My DT card for this challenge features “Tilda with Christmas Light” from A Lovely Christmas 2015 collection. I used some pretty pink and green designer papers from Carina Gardner Santa’s Sleigh collection and I paired them with Bazzill cardstock. I love the colors and patterns in this collection.

I kept my card fairly simple with an embellished poinsettia border die from Memory Box with Impression Obsession rolled flower dies, rhinestone trimmed lace and Tilda tags with vintage seam binding. The Christmas tree charm is from my stash with a few WOC flowers and stamens.

Here is a close up of Tilda colored with Copics in pink and green.

Magnolia-licious Christmas Magic Blog Hop

Happy November, Friends! Today Magnolia-licious is celebrating our traditional Christmas Magic Blog Hop with 2 chances to win a $20 gift certificate from Magnolia-licious. Instructions and details are at the end of this post.

If you arrived here from Norma’s blog…then you are on the right track. If you need to start at the beginning all you have to do is go back to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog for the Hop line up.

For my project this year I decided to craft a lantern. This cut is from the Silhouette online store. It is small enough to use as a tree ornament or large enough to use as a décor item.

I added three adorable Mini Magnolias to my lantern and I used some PTI stamps and die cuts for the Christmas trees and the tiny little gift boxes. Aren’t they so cute!

I had such fun making this project. All of my Magnolias are colored with Copics and they all received a coat of Glamour Dust for the fur of the coats, hats and gloves.

Here is a shot of the lantern with an LED tea light candle.

OK, now for the fun HOP part…you have 2 chances to win a $20 Gift Certificate from the Magnolia-licious store.

Send the total you found to me at cathylee.co@gmail.com with “Christmas Magic Scavenger Hunt” in the subject line. You will be entered in a random draw of correct responses I receive.
2. Enter a Christmas themed project (anything but a card) in the Hop challenge and you will have a chance to win if your project is the random winner of all entries.

Also you must do the following to be entered for a chance to win either of the prizes:

  • Like us on our Magnolia-licious Facebook Fan Page
  • Leave a comment on each of the DT’s Blog Hop posts.

Paper Nest Dolls November Release

Hello, Friends. Today marks the November Release for the Paper Nest Dolls. This month’s stamps are Love themed. Pop in at Christine's Facebook page for the new stamp release.

My card features a stamp called Tunnel of Love. They certainly appear to enjoy the ride. LOL I colored my cute couple with Copics and cut them with a stitched circle die from La-La-Land. I layered it over a pretty doily frame from Spellbinders. I also added Spellbinders die cut trim at the bottom of my card face. I love these and you are sure to see this on more of my cards.

My papers are by Teresa Collins paired with Bazzill cardstock. I sprinkled Checkers extra thick embossing powder over the paper panels and heat embossed for a bit of texture.

I added some red gingham ribbon with a pretty bling heart button. My flowers are from WOC with Doo Hickey leaves and I added a heart shaped tree bark element with swirly heart die cuts.

Hope you enjoy the November Release.
