February GDT - Paper Nest Dolls

Hello, Friends! I have a new GDT card to share with you for the Paper Nest Dolls.

These new stamps were released on February 10 last week. You can see them all here.

My card features “Strawberry Emma.” I colored Emma with Copics and cut her out with my Silhouette Cameo PixScan. I love this tool. It is so easy to use. I just position the colored image on the PixScan mat, take a photo with my iPhone and transfer it to my PC. Then I open it in my Design Studio, create an outer edge with my preferred settings and cut. It is so simple.

My designer papers are from Maja Design “Life in the Country” collection. These papers have some darling strawberry pattern papers that are perfect for Emma and my strawberry patch theme. I used some of my new La-La-Land Club Kit Strawberry Blossoms dies to create my flowers in Emma’s strawberry patch. The 3D strawberries were made with my Magnolia DooHickey die.

Here’s a close up of Emma.

Thanks for stopping by today…I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Paper Nest Dolls - January Release

Hello, Friends! I have a new GDT card to share with you for the Paper Nest Dolls.

These new stamps are from the January 10 release. You can see them all here.

My card features “Teddy Bear Emma.” She is adorable with her little pink teddy hat. I colored Emma with Copics and a light blue shaded background. I sprinkled Fran-tage Powder Blue Color Fragments around the card for a bit of added texture.

My designer papers are from Doodlebug Design paired with American Crafts cardstock. I used some of my new La-La-Land dies to create my flowers that are colored with Distress inks. I created a sentiment on my PC then foiled it with my Heidi Swapp Minc machine.

Here’s a close up of Emma.

Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll be back later this week with something new for Magnolia-licious…

The Paper Nest Dolls 3rd Birthday

Happy New Year, Friends!

The Paper Nest is celebrating its 3rd Birthday today! So the DT decided to create some festive cards for the occasion. I am still guesting for the team so I offered to make a card with this brand new stamp!

Her name is Ellie with Candle. She is perfect for a Birthday card. I just love her cute little party dress.

I used some designer papers from Doodlebug Design paired with Bazzill cardstock. I’ve not made a front panel sidestep card for years and thought I would start the New Year with something different.

I used some new dies from Lawn Fawn and some Magnolia dies from the Celebration DooHickey Club kit.

Here is a closer shot of the foiled sentiment. I love my new Heidi Swapp Minc machine. You’ll see a lot more foiled elements on my cards this year.

Here’s a close up of Ellie colored with Copics.

Come join us at the PND 3rd Birthday FB event for a chance to win a prize package, see the new stamps and inspiration from the DT.

Paper Nest Dolls GDT and Christmas Give-away

Hello, Friends. Today I’m sharing a card I made for the December 10th Release of The Paper Nest Dolls stamps. This release has 6 fashion dolls and 2 winter stamps. Pop in at the Inspiration Blog for a peek at the adorable new dolls.

I’m also having a crafty give-away at the end of my post in celebration of Christmas. So stay tuned!

My card features a stamp called “Skiing Ellie.” I made a winter scene for Ellie as she flies down the slopes of powder in the Colorado Mountains. LOL I had to throw that in there. :)

I used some designer papers from BoBunny, Dear Santa collection paired with Bazzill cardstock. This card has loads of texture with embossing powder, snow paste, liquid applique, foil and glitter.

I had so much fun applying the foil on my image. I used Iridescent Deco Foil and my glue pen. It was easy to adhere; just write with the glue pen, let dry, place the foil on and rub with your finger or bone folder. I foiled her goggles, skis, poles and portions of her outerwear. It looks much better in real life as it takes on different colors depending on how the light shines on the foil. A bit of a holographic effect.

Here’s a close up of Ellie colored with Copics. She looks like she could use some hot cocoa with a peppermint candy cane and marshmallows. That's one of my favorite wintertime Holiday beverage.

I hope you enjoyed a look at my card. Now for the fun part…I am giving away some crafty goodies. All you need to do is:

1.  Become a follower if you aren’t already and,
2. Leave a comment and tell me your favorite wintertime Holiday treat or beverage.

I will randomly choose a winner on Christmas Eve. The give-away package has stamps, dies, Distress Ink pads, 6 x 6 paper pads and some other crafty goodies. Good Luck and see you back here on Christmas Eve!

Have a very Merry Christmas!!!

Paper Nest Dolls November Release

Hello, Friends. Today marks the November Release for the Paper Nest Dolls. This month’s stamps are Love themed. Pop in at Christine's Facebook page for the new stamp release.

My card features a stamp called Tunnel of Love. They certainly appear to enjoy the ride. LOL I colored my cute couple with Copics and cut them with a stitched circle die from La-La-Land. I layered it over a pretty doily frame from Spellbinders. I also added Spellbinders die cut trim at the bottom of my card face. I love these and you are sure to see this on more of my cards.

My papers are by Teresa Collins paired with Bazzill cardstock. I sprinkled Checkers extra thick embossing powder over the paper panels and heat embossed for a bit of texture.

I added some red gingham ribbon with a pretty bling heart button. My flowers are from WOC with Doo Hickey leaves and I added a heart shaped tree bark element with swirly heart die cuts.

Hope you enjoy the November Release.

Happy Birthday, Allie!

Hello, Friends. Today I’m sharing my GDT project for “The Paper Nest Dolls!” I love the aspirations of Christine’s talented artistry. These adorable stamps are available in “The Paper Nest” online shop.

My card features a new release stamp called Party Time Avery. Her party dress is cute as a button. I colored Avery with Copics and created a birthday theme card that I will send to my granddaughter Allie. She will be 6 years old on June 6 and she just finished her first year of school.

I cut my image out and framed it with a Spellbinder die. I colored a separate stamped image of the balloons and used pop dots for dimension with a coat of glossy accents.

Most of my die cuts are from the Magnolia Doohickey Die Club Vol. 5, Celebrations. The balloons and gift packages got a coat of embossing powder. I also used a new Joy Crafts border die and added some pretty pink pearls. The sentiment is a LOTV stamp with Wild Plum embossing powder.

Thanks for popping in to visit. I’ll be back on Tuesday to share another card. See you then…

The Paper Nest Dolls - Sewing Ellie

Good Evening, Friends! At least it is evening here. It’s getting on to around 10 p.m. and almost my bedtime. NOT! LOL Well at least it is time to wind down for the evening.

I am sharing a cute card I made for The Paper Nest Dolls. Her name is Sewing Ellie and she is a cute digi. I have lots of sewing embellishments and thought they would be perfect for this stamp. I colored Ellie with Copics and did a bit of distressing on my paper panels for that shabby look.

I used some new Carta Bella papers from the Sew Lovely collection by Carina Gardner, one of my favorite designers. The pink, aqua, and brown tones look fabulous together and coordinate with my design elements.

I hope you like my card. That is it for me this evening. Have a great one.
