Midweek Magnolias - Anything Goes & Blog Hop

Season's Greeting!!!

The Midweek Magnolias are back with a new challenge and a Blog Hop for your holiday enjoyment. This fortnight our theme is…

“Anything Goes with a Magnolia Image”

Join us for the challenge following our theme and rules and you could have a chance to win a surprise from Magnolia Sweden and 7 Kids College Fund is offering a gift certificate as well.

To celebrate this fabulous Holiday season many of the DT members are hosting a candy giveaway. I have an extra brand new Magnolia Vintage Box Volume 2 (Circus) and some other goodies I will be sharing with one lucky commenter. I will choose a random winner and publish at the next challenge on January 4th.

If you got here from Suzi then you are on the right track. If not head back to the challenge blog to start from the beginning.

To inspire you for this challenge and get those creative juices flowing I created a huge snow globe with a Magnolia winter scene. My snow globe features “Cocoa Tilda” and “Me and My Snowman” from the Aspen Holidays collection.

I water colored my images with Distress Inks and created a wintery background with a 3D sleigh for Cocoa Tilda from the Magnolia Santa’s Sleigh die and added some cute die cut gift boxes from PTI.

Here’s a close up of Cocoa Tilda.

Here’s a close up of Me and My Snowman.

Here is a shot from above showing the sleigh and gift boxes in the snow.

As I mentioned earlier, just leave me a comment and I will choose a winner for my Christmas Candy. Good Luck and I hope to see your fabulous cards and projects entered in our challenge

Your next stop is the fabulously talented Julie

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all.

Love and Hugz,

Marvelous Magnolias - Anything Goes Christmas

Hello, Magnolia Friends!

Today I have a new DT card for the Marvelous Magnolias December challenge. This month our theme is…

“Anything Goes Christmas”

Our fabulous sponsor for December is Petal Lu.

My card features “Tilda with Little Rudolph” from the “Aspen Holidays” collection. I water colored her with Distress Inks, fussy cut her out and mounted her on fun foam for dimension. My designer paper is from Magnolia Vintage Box Vol 4 collection paired with Bazzill cardstock. The card shape is also a die from the Vintage Box.

I love creating little winter scenes with my stamps and dies. I used a falling snow stencil on my background paper with Prima snowflake paste and around Tilda’s feet. Tilda’s Hat and gloves also received a coat of Sparkly Fluff. The pretty snowflake dies are from the Magnolia Stamp and Cutz Snowflurries covered with Stardust Stickles.

The Poinsettias and leaves were created with dies from the Vintage Box Vol. 4. The rolled rose was cut with a Marianne Designs die. The landscape house with trees die cut and the snow flurry border at the top of the card are both from La-La-Land December Club Kit.

I finished the card with a Sentiment from the Vintage Box Vol 4 on a Tailored Expressions tag die cut and some gold trim from my stash.

Here’s a close up of Tilda. Isn't she adorable?

Join us for the challenge and you will have a chance to win a prize from our wonderful sponsor.

Midweek Magnolias - Christmas

Happy Hump Day!

The Midweek Magnolias are back with a new challenge. This fortnight our theme is…

“Christmas”

Join us for the challenge following our theme and rules and you could have a chance to win a surprise from Magnolia Sweden.

To inspire you for this Christmas challenge I decided to make a couple of gift tags. They feature “Tilda with Sock Puffs” masked with “Christmas Lace Bench” and “Tilda with Holiday Sweater” from the “Aspen Holidays” collection all water colored with Distress Inks.

My designer papers are from BoBunny Dear Santa collection along with Recollections Kraft cardstock and Bazzill for my die cuts. The base of my tags were cut from Tailored Expressions Label dies with the edges inked in Ground Espresso.

For “Tilda with Sock Puffs” I created a wintery background using BoBunny paper and Lawn Fawn stitched hill die cuts. I added some liquid appliqué to Tilda’s sock puffs and heated them with my heat emboss tool for puffy dimension. Then I added Stardust Stickles to the puffs and the lace on the bench for a bit of glittery bling.

The snowflakes are from Top Dog and Tailored Expressions dies with a coat of Glamour Dust. The Season’s Greeting stamp sentiment is from Papertrey Ink on a PTI banner die.

I finished off the tag with some white satin ribbon and red baker’s twine from my stash.

I fussy cut "Tilda with Holiday Sweater" and adhered her with fun foam for dimension. I used my Wink of Stella clear brush for the reindeer nose.

The Christmas tree and garland die cuts are from the new DooHickey Club Kit Volume 14. I added BoBunny rhinestones to the tree and a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the berries on the garland.

I created my poinsettias with a Marianne Designs die and the Merry Christmas sentiment is from Papertrey Ink on the same banner die.

This tag has green satin ribbon and red baker’s twine from my stash.

I hope I’ve inspired you to join in the challenge for a chance to win a surprise from Magnolia Sweden.

Thanks for stopping by... I'll see you again next week with a new Magnolia card.
