Hello, Friends. I hope you all had
a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. It is good to be back.
So for my first post of 2013, the
Magnolia-licious Challenge DT has a new challenge up and it’s Chris’s turn to choose the
challenges for January. She has provided a color inspiration of stark tones
like off-white, gray, brown, beige and taupe. Other colors can be added but
should support the main color theme. Here’s a lovely photo for inspiration from
Design Seeds.
I used the adorable “Jingle Belle” from A Christmas Story Collection as a Snow Day theme card.
Belle is colored with Copics
and I used my Colorless Blender to give her a Dappled Gray coat. I love the
look and how it turned out. My designer papers are from Echo Park and I used blue
as my supporting color for a frosty impression. I took a couple lengths of satin
ribbon and gathered it on Scor-Tape for my textured snow bank.
I die cut several pine trees
and snowflakes with a touch of Glamour Dust for sparkle and texture. My DP
panels are machine stitched and I added a Snow Day sentiment from my PC on a
Magnolia tag die cut. Then I finished off the card with some flowers and
pearls.
