New Wee Stamp at Magnolia-licious

Hello, Friends! I made a new card that I want to share with you using a new Wee Stamp that Diana has in her store at Magnolia-licious.

Her name is Iris and she is such a cute fairy don’t you think? She is a Wee Stamp by Sylvia Zet. I colored her with Copics and covered her wings with Glamour Dust. I also used my Kaleidoscope Gelly Roll glitter pen for some of Iris's flowers.

I used a lot of Frantage (crazy with it today) on the card after distressing with my Zutter, added embossing ink and heat embossed the aged enamel on the edges. This technique is lots of fun, provides a vintage sparkle, and no mess.

I use round coffee filters to pour my glitter and embossing powders on my elements. They have natural anti static properties and you virtually don’t waste a spec of product.

Here’s a shot with Iris so you can see her in all her glistening fairy glory.

And here’s a close up of Iris’ coloring.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I’m back to share my Midway Reminder for Midweek Magnolias “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas” challenge.

Link up a creation with snow or a snow image, follow our ROOLZ and you could have a chance to win a Mystery prize from Magnolia Sweden.

I used this adorable “In the Snow Ski Tilda” from the Winter Wonderland collection. She is available in the Magnolia-licious store with lots or her friends.

I colored all of Tilda with Copics and added a little Liquid Applique for the snow. I put a bit of Stardust Stickles on the snow for a glistening effect and Glossy Accents on her skis. I used lots of wintry die cuts, snow spray on my designer paper panels and gesso for texture and dimension.

Here’s a close up of Tilda.

The tag pulls out for a Holiday greeting. This stamp is called Holiday Cheer by Raindrop Echo Designs from the Magnolia-licious store.

I hope my project inspires you to join us for the challenge. Have a fabulous week.

"W"ednesday at Magnolia-liicous

Happy Wednesday, Friends. I’m here today to share a “W”ednesday project with you for Magnolia-licious

The DT creates cards and projects using the new stamps in the Magnolia-licious store featuring images from Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and Candibeans.

I made an ornament with "Bella on Present" from Wild Rose Studios. I purchased the wooden frame from Michaels, glue sprayed it then applied Martha Stewart Garnet Glitter. I love how it sparkles.

I applied some rhinestone trim around the inner frame cut from diamond mesh and added silver bead stands for tassels and the hanger. I finished it off with pine cones and die cut Magnolia spruce branches brushed with a little gesso. This was really simple and easy to make.

Here’s a close up of Bella. I colored her with Copics and did a little paper piecing for a couple of the presents. I used Stickles on the stars of the red gift, tree ornaments and present ribbon and Sugar Sparkly Fluff on Bella’s stocking cap. This little pretty will hang on my tree this Christmas holiday.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on any of the DT blogs and/or the Challenge blog for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during the “W”ednesday post.

Thanks for stopping by. I’ll be back in the coming days with a couple new cards/projects. See you then…

Midweek Magnolias Midway Reminder

Happy Wednesday, Friends! First just let me just say, “THANK YOU” to all of my fabulous friends for the lovely birthday wishes yesterday. I had a wonderful day. I spent some time in my craft room with no distractions. Hubby and I had lobster for dinner and he bought me jewelry. Yay!!! A beautiful three ring set with large ivory, black and white pearls. I asked for a ring with a white and black pearl which I didn't have in my jewelry armoire. He has bought me lots of precious stones over the years but I didn't have pearls. This one takes the cake, I truly love them. I was spoiled rotten and it was such a lovely day.

Anywho, I have a new project for our Midway Reminder for the “Anything but a card” challenge. You still have a week to join us at Midweek Magnolias.

If you create something with the theme and follow our ROOLZ, you could have a chance to win a Mystery prize from Magnolia Sweden.

I thought I would make something special that I can use for home decor during the holidays so I found a fabulous Snowflake Lantern on the Silhouette Cameo web site. My lanterns feature three new Magnolias from the Winter Wonderland collection, “Christmas Eve Tilda,” “Peaceful Tilda,” and “Merry Christmas Tilda” all from the Magnolia-licious store.  Each one is a little different using individual colors, Magnolias and ribbons.

I colored all of my Magnolias with Copics and cut them out to attach them to each lantern. I put a battery operated tea light in each for that soft glowing effect.

I hope my project inspires you to join us for the challenge. Have a great Thanksgiving for those who are celebrating it and have a fabulous week.

Magnolia-licious Doily Challenge

Hello, Friends. It’s time for another fun challenge at Magnolia-licious. Our theme for the last challenge of the year is…

Use a Doily!

My card features “Cozy Christmas Tilda” and “A Joyful Christmas” sentiment from the New Winter Wonderland collection. I used three doilies on my card with two Magnolia Mini Doilies and Tim Holtz On the Edge Vintage Doily.

I colored Tilda with Copics in blue and brown to match my Bo Bunny Woodland Winter designer papers. And I used a dotted coloring technique to make Tilda’s sweater look fluffy. My DP panels were machine stitched and distressed for lots of texture. I played with lots of die cuts for this card with tags, flourishes, lace and flowers.

Here’s a close-up of Tilda.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on any of the DT blogs and/or the Challenge blog for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during the “W”ednesday post.

Magnolia-licious Holiday Hop - Canvas Christmas Stocking

Welcome, Friends. Today starts a new special Holiday Blog Hop. The Magnolia-licious DT and the Scor-Pal DT have joined up with lots of inspiration for you. So, if you arrived here from Abby’s blog then you are on the right track. If you need to start at the beginning all you need to do is click on this Magnolia-licious Challenge blog link. There you can read about the rules and the fun activities we have planned for you.

For my Holiday Hop project I made a canvas Christmas stocking. I stamped several Magnolia holly images randomly on the front side of the stocking and colored them with Copics. I also colored “The Day Before Christmas Stocking Tilda” from the 2013 Winter Wonderland collection that I got from Magnolia-licious; she is the perfect stamp for my project. I matted her on a new die cut frame from Marianne Design with a little Aged Ivory Frantage around her.

I added some pretty die cut Poinsettias, Merry Christmas text heat embossed on the new Magnolia banner stamp, scattered rhinestones, red feather trim, gold jingle bells and a pretty pearl button that I made myself.

Here’s a close up of Tilda in her traditional red and green Christmas dress. She is so adorable.

3D Shadow Boxes NOW at Magnolia-licious

Hello and Happy Friday, Magnolia Fans!

I have a new project to share with you. Magnolia-licious is now carrying 3D Shadow Box kits by La-La Land Crafts in the store. I so love these and have purchased several of them myself, so you’ll be seeing new projects in the coming weeks with these fabulous kits.

My Christmas Shadow Box features “In the Snow Scarf Tilda” and “In the Snow Heart Tilda” from the 2013 Winter Wonderland collection. I created a winter snowball fight scene with these two darling stamps. My Magnolias are colored with Copics and cut out for the scene. For "In the Snow Heart Tilda," I cut her little heart snowballs and attached them with acetate strips so they appear to be suspended in midair.

I added several elements of my own as well as those that are included in the kit. I used the Magnolia Snowy Forest die for my trees with a bit of Snow Writer and Glamour Dust for added texture and sparkle. I also hand cut my snowy hills and layered them for a 3 dimensional look. The hills got a coat of Shimmerz Paints Dazzlerz in Spun Sugar for shine. I love the mixed media of Shimmerz Paints and you’ll see lots more on my cards and projects.

Here’s another view of the Shadow Box. This is so fun to decorate and put together.

I hope you've enjoyed my project. Check out the adorable Shadow Box kits in the Magnolia-licious store. Diana gives 2% store credit on each purchase. So stop over and pick up yours before they're all gone. They make great gifts and favors for those special family and friends on your holiday gift list.

I used a bit of bling and glitter on several elements for that festive holiday look. Tilda is colored with Copics and soft golden hue shadowing for the background. "W"ednesday with Bella on Bauble

Happy “W”ednesday, Friends! It’s time for a new “W”ednesday post at Magnolia-licious. These cards and projects feature the new stamp lines Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studio, Penny Black, and Candibeans now carried by the Magnolia-licious store.

My card today highlights my favorite Wild Rose Studio stamps called Bella. My grandmother was a collector of elephant figurines and décor items so I have grown to love elephants and these adorable stamps remind me of her.

I colored this cute “Bella on Bauble” stamp and cut her out so I could use a Spellbinders frame background. I heat embossed the bauble after coloring it with Copics to give it a lovely sparkle then I decoupaged Bella on the Bauble.

I cut lots of Magnolia Sprawling fern leaves for a Christmas tree branch effect. Then I ran some satin thread through Bella’s hand and the bauble to make it appear as though she is hanging from the tree.

Supplies:
Stamps – Wild Rose Studio: Bella on Bauble
DPs/Cardstock – Wild Rose Studio: Xmas Bella Collection; Bazzill and Archiver’s cardstock
Dies – Magnolia: So Wrapped Swirly Folded Tag, Christmas Lace, Sprawling Ferns; Spellbinders: Opulent Ovals; Tim Holtz/Sizzix: Holly Garland; Marianne Designs: Holly Branches, Chinese Rose; Cameo: Poinsettias by alittlehut.com

Anything Goes at Magnolia-licious

Hello, Friends. I’m back with some inspiration to share with you for our new challenge at Magnolia-licious and our theme this time is truly the easiest challenge ever…

Anything Goes!

My card features Afternoon Tea Tilda and her Afternoon Tea Bench from the NEW Little London collection. I distressed my Pion papers with my Zutter Distress-it-all, sponged it with Frayed Burlap then I added some Texturez Shimmerpaintz around the edges. I love the sparkly texture effect it gives the card.

I used a few new items on my card. The Teapot die cut is from Elizabeth Craft Designs which I've had for some time and now have the perfect theme to use it with my Magnolia stamped image. I added a pretty flower button for my bow and I can’t forget the darling teapot charm, it’s so vintage yet elegant. I also made a few of my own flowers for this card.

Here’s a close-up of Tilda colored with Copics and a little Glossy Accents for her teacup.
