Anything Goes at Magnolia-licous

Hello, Friends. I can’t believe we are approaching the end of January already. It’s the fourth Tuesday of the month and you know what that means...the Magnolia-licious DT is back with a new challenge for you. This one is very simple and one of my personal favorites…

ANYTHING GOES

My card features Tilda with Fantasy Flower from the new Lost and Found collection. She is such a cutie. My designer papers are from Pion Design distressed with my Tim Holtz distress tool.

I kept it simple with Magnolia Lace Coaster die cuts, a huge bouquet of flowers, ribbon and lace. My frame with the Wild Rose Studio Vintage Label sentiment is a clay molded embellishment. It's from Martha Stewart; they are so fun and easy to use. You can ink or stain them and the clay is air dry which makes them very light weight. The clay comes in several colors including white and you can blend them together for that personal touch.

Here’s a close up of Tilda colored with Copics.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on any of the DT blogs and/or the Challenge blog for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during the “W”ednesday post.

There's also a new showcase of cards and projects posted on Monday a/k/a Dr. Mondays. Why the MD? It's for Mini Magnolias and Dies. So if you haven't been over in a while go check out the lovely creations. Our good friend, Barb Hardeman is back with us creating lots of fun projects and Patti Jo features cards with some of the most amazing new dies that are in the store.

Come and join us for the challenge and you will have a chance to win a Surprise from the Magnolia-licious store. There’s lots of inspiration on the blog by the DT, they do such a lovely job.

It's a Celebration at Magnolia-licious

Hello, Friends. It’s a new year and the Magnolia-licious DT are back to get you inspired with our 2014 challenges. Our first challenge of the year is…

CELEBRATION

Any celebratory theme will get you a chance to win a Surprise from the Magnolia-licious store.

It’s been almost a month since I posted a project and it’s good to be back into my familiar routine after the holidays. Although my crafty mojo has been missing a bit so it was hard to get started.

For the celebration theme I made a Birthday card. It features “Tilda with Large Balloon” from the new Lost and Found collection. My DPs are from Pion Design with a bit of vintage style.

I did a little distressing, sewing and crackle paint on my flowers for interest and texture. I colored Tilda with Copics and cut a circle frame for her to sit on a new Spellbinders die cut.

Here’s a close up of Tilda. She’s so cute.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on any of the Magnolia-licious  and DT blogs/posts for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during the “W”ednesday post.

So now that you’ve had a chance to see my card, go visit the Challenge blog to get more inspiration from the Design Team. You will see some new team members added recently and I’m so thrilled to be a part of this team with these wonderful ladies.

Supplies:
Stamps – Magnolia: Tilda with Large Balloon, New York postmarks; Wild Rose Studio: Vintage Labels
DPs/Cardstock – Pion design, Bazzill
Dies – Magnolia: Tea Label Tags, Leaf; Spellbinders: Floral Doily Motifs; Tim Holtz/Sizzix: Packages and Bows; Marianne Designs: Branch and Flowers 2 LR0257, Chinese Rose; La-La Land: Heart Banner

New Wee Stamp at Magnolia-licious

Hello, Friends! I made a new card that I want to share with you using a new Wee Stamp that Diana has in her store at Magnolia-licious.

Her name is Iris and she is such a cute fairy don’t you think? She is a Wee Stamp by Sylvia Zet. I colored her with Copics and covered her wings with Glamour Dust. I also used my Kaleidoscope Gelly Roll glitter pen for some of Iris's flowers.

I used a lot of Frantage (crazy with it today) on the card after distressing with my Zutter, added embossing ink and heat embossed the aged enamel on the edges. This technique is lots of fun, provides a vintage sparkle, and no mess.

I use round coffee filters to pour my glitter and embossing powders on my elements. They have natural anti static properties and you virtually don’t waste a spec of product.

Here’s a shot with Iris so you can see her in all her glistening fairy glory.

And here’s a close up of Iris’ coloring.

Supplies:
StampsWee Stamps: Iris
DPs/Cardstock – Maja Design: Vintage Autumn Basics; Bazzill Smooth; TPC Kraft CS
Dies/Punches – Marianne Design: Chinese Rose, Branch & Flower 1, Rose Basket; Martha Stewart: Frond and Small Butterfly punch; Cameo: Filigree Butterfly by Samantha Walker
Ribbon/Lace – Maya Road: Rose Trim; JoAnn’s: Cheese Cloth
Flowers – WOC: Yellow Rose, Pink Spiral Stamens; LLC: White Foam Flower Stems; Kort & Godt: Pink Rolled Rose
Other – Liquitex: White Gesso; Stampendous Vintage Frantage: Aged Rose; DecoArt: Glamour Dust; Sakura: Gelly Roll Glitter Pen; Tall Mouse: Rhinestone Mesh
Copic Colors – Skin: E35, E11, E00, E000, R20, R30. Hair: E25, YR23, Y21, Y00. Body: R89, R85, R83, R81, RV00, E47, E44, E43, E42, E41, YR23, Y15, Y11, YG17, YG03.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

Happy Wednesday, Friends! I’m back to share my Midway Reminder for Midweek Magnolias “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas” challenge.

Link up a creation with snow or a snow image, follow our ROOLZ and you could have a chance to win a Mystery prize from Magnolia Sweden.

I used this adorable “In the Snow Ski Tilda” from the Winter Wonderland collection. She is available in the Magnolia-licious store with lots or her friends.

I colored all of Tilda with Copics and added a little Liquid Applique for the snow. I put a bit of Stardust Stickles on the snow for a glistening effect and Glossy Accents on her skis. I used lots of wintry die cuts, snow spray on my designer paper panels and gesso for texture and dimension.

Here’s a close up of Tilda.

The tag pulls out for a Holiday greeting. This stamp is called Holiday Cheer by Raindrop Echo Designs from the Magnolia-licious store.

I hope my project inspires you to join us for the challenge. Have a fabulous week.

"W"ednesday at Magnolia-liicous

Happy Wednesday, Friends. I’m here today to share a “W”ednesday project with you for Magnolia-licious

The DT creates cards and projects using the new stamps in the Magnolia-licious store featuring images from Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and Candibeans.

I made an ornament with "Bella on Present" from Wild Rose Studios. I purchased the wooden frame from Michaels, glue sprayed it then applied Martha Stewart Garnet Glitter. I love how it sparkles.

I applied some rhinestone trim around the inner frame cut from diamond mesh and added silver bead stands for tassels and the hanger. I finished it off with pine cones and die cut Magnolia spruce branches brushed with a little gesso. This was really simple and easy to make.

Here’s a close up of Bella. I colored her with Copics and did a little paper piecing for a couple of the presents. I used Stickles on the stars of the red gift, tree ornaments and present ribbon and Sugar Sparkly Fluff on Bella’s stocking cap. This little pretty will hang on my tree this Christmas holiday.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on any of the DT blogs and/or the Challenge blog for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during the “W”ednesday post.

Thanks for stopping by. I’ll be back in the coming days with a couple new cards/projects. See you then…
