Midweek Magnolias - Bingo/Tic-Tac-Toe Board

Hello, Friends and Happy Wednesday! The Midweek Magnolias has a new challenge up for you and we have a Bingo/Tic-Tac-Toe board for you to play with.

Below is the board and I hope you join in the challenge for a chance to win a Mystery Prize from Magnolia Sweden. The DT did an awesome job with this theme. I would love for you to visit the challenge blog and check out all the lovely cards they’ve created.

I decided to do a Full House and use all of the elements of the board. Sometimes that is very easy, right?

My card features the lovely, Princess Tilda with Curl from the new Once Upon aTime collection. She is adorable and I truly enjoyed coloring her.

I love the look of shabby chic so I used some of my favorite products to create this card. The papers are from Maja Vintage that I got from C'est Magnifique and the cardstock is Bazzill. I machine stitched, and hand distressed my designer paper panels. I use Frayed Burlap Distress ink with a few torn edges.

I colored Tilda with Copics and added some Fran-tage Vintage heat embossing powder for her frame. I really love the look of these powders. The creative possibilities with this product are endless. So many fun projects you can create with them.

I used lots of Magnolia dies, new and old, to add that vintage shabby chic style to my card. The new Lace Coaster die is so cute. I love the look and unique pattern of this die. I also used the Vintage Keys, one of my favorites and I heat embossed it with Fran-tage Vintage Rose embossing powder as well. The crown charm is from my stash and I can’t remember where it’s from but adding the Swarovski crystal with a few beads just sparkles on this Magnolia tag.

Here’s a close up of Tilda. She is super cute and adorable. I’m sure to use her again and again.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges:

Totally Tilda – Heat Embossing
Deep Ocean – Favorite Color Combo (Blue/Pink & Brown)
Tilda’s Town – Once Upon a Time (Princess Tilda with Curl)

Can’t wait to see how you use the Bingo/Tic-Tac-Toe board when you join us for the challenge.

Creative uses for Vellum

Hello, Friends. Happy Tuesday. The Design Team at Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps are here to challenge you with…

creative uses of Vellum

The DT has some gorgeous projects so stop over at the Challenge blog and take a look. I hope we inspire you to create something special with your Vellum.

I used my new stamp, Sitting Tilda with Butterfly from the Once Upon a Time collection. For my creative use with Vellum I heat embossed the Butterfly Kit stamps also from this new collection with purple and green embossing powders. Then I cut them out and scattered them around my card.

I also used a few new techniques on my card this week. I colored some clouds in Tilda’s background with Copics. I love the look of these clouds and the sky. Alyce from Kit and Clowder has a great tutorial on You Tube. I also used Fran-tage vintage heat embossing powders for my Magnolia Floral Swirl Corner die, the corrugated heart tag from Jillibean Soup and the buttons from my stash. What a fabulous product this is and I love playing with this fabulous product. You’ll be seeing more of this fun technique on my cards.

My papers are from Magnolia, Once Upon a Time collection and Prima. The cardstock is Bazzill as usual. My flowers are Magnolia Peonies die cuts layered and curled for dimension. I add pearl brads to hold them together and finished them with a little Gesso. The chrysanthemum is by Kort & Godt from The Ribbon Girl.

I masked Tilda on the Spring Fence and colored them with Copics. Both of these are available at Magnolia-licous which is my first place to shop for Magnolia goodies.

The cute little charm on my heart tag is from Prima attached to my button with some baker's twine by Doodlebug Design.

I’m entering my card in the following challenges:

Totally Tilda – Heat Embossing
Make It Monday – Anything Goes

Buttons, Beads or Bows

Hello, Friends. It’s that time again…the Design Team at Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps are here to challenge you this fortnight with…

Buttons, Beads or Bows

I used a new stamp from the “Once Upon a Time” collection, Tilda Longstocking. Isn’t she just adorable? She is one of my new favorites from this collection. And I decided to pile it on with all three options, buttons, beads and bows.

I used some cute designer papers from My Mind’s Eye called Bluebell and distressed with a little Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. The cardstock is Bazzill as usual. I just love this Spellbinders Floral frame and I use it all the time. I decided to create an inner frame oval with my Silhouette Cameo so I can reproduce it without having to cut with scissors. I don’t mind that now and then but it becomes a chore if I have to cut by hand all the time. If you would like to have this cutting file in your library just email me at cathylee.co@gmail.com and I will send it to you for free.

I used my Inkadinkado Stamp-A-Ma-Jig masking tool to position Tilda just right on the oval frame. Tilda was colored with Copics and I added some Whimsy Stamps Flourishes around the parameter of the frame using ColorBox Chalk ink. I used a fun sketch from CLP for their Challenge #57 with a little twist of my own.

I added some fun new frilly flowers from Prima, Butterflies and rolled rose die cuts from Marianne Designs. The cute little chickadee ribbon is from SEI’s Chickadoo collection.

I used repeating elements from my the front for the inside of my card with blank space for a personal note or sentiment.

I’m entering my card in the following challenges:

CLP Sketch Challenge – Sketch #57
Make It Monday – Anything Goes
Lovely Hangler and Sweet Magnolia – Butterflies or things that flutter

Please join us for the challenge as you can be entered in the draw for a chance to win a…

Happy Mini Monday - April Fools Day!

Hello, Friends. It is April Fool's Day and MINI MONDAY!!! I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Easter yesterday. Here in Colorado we have been horseback riding since the weather has been so nice this week. It gives our horses a chance to really stretch their legs and get rid of some of that pent up energy they’ve been hoarding during the winter months.

It was so warm on Saturday that Dallas and Duncan got shampoo baths and today they still smell so good…like show horses even after they’ve rolled in the dirt…LOL

This week I created a hybrid digital project where I developed a Recipe Template in Photoshop. I wanted to create something special with a recipe theme and thought this would be a delight if it was something from my kitchen.

I created the template in Photoshop then added the stamped images and colored each image in Copics. I used Kitchen Tilda and Chef Edwin.

Each one has different digital papers and elements from Digital Scrapbook Place, Digital Scrapbooking Memories and Jessica Sprague coordinated with each color theme. Kitchen Tilda is one of my favorites and I just got Chef Edwin and thought this is a great fit since the theme is all about Yummy!

Don’t forget to leave a comment on the DT blogs and/or the Challenge blog for a chance to win a prize. For all the details, visit Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps Challenge.

Hope you enjoyed my Mini Monday project today.
