Hello,
Friends and Happy Hump Day! This week the Midweek Magnolias Design Team wants
to see your “Shabby Chic” creations.
Pop
over and take a look at the gorgeous artwork the Midweek Magnolias DT has
created.
When
you join us for the challenge you’ll have a chance to win a fabulous Mystery Prize
from Magnolia Sweden.
My card started with a darling
stamp called “Drip Drop Tilda.” She was a prize I won from my friend Chris who also
posted a lovely card with this stamp here. Check out her blog as she is again
offering candy just by leaving a comment.
Tilda was colored with Copics
and I gave her a rainy day looking background. I mounted this cutie on a fancy
Spellbinders die cut frame. My papers are from Magnolia and I used some new
lacy trim I found at JoAnn’s a couple of months ago. That is so like me to buy
something and several months go by before I use it.
I distressed, stitched and
inked my DP panels for that shabby look. My cloud die cut was run through my
printer for the sentiment. I have to give credit to my daughter for coming up
with the verbiage after showing her my design. I added some black lace, vintage
seam binding and bakers twine for the cloud tag. Then I attached a darling umbrella charm to the ribbon trio. I couldn’t wait to use this
darling umbrella die cut from Memory Box and I cut it from white cardstock and some
of the pattern paper. The fancy photo corners are from Whimsy Stamps with a
rhinestone for a little bling.
I finished off the card with
some flowers from WOC and a rolled rose and leaves cut with my Marianne dies.
Here’s a close up of Tilda.
The inside features similar
elements from the front and I added a simple sentiment.
