July Mini Magnolia Challenge

Happy Hump Day, Friends!

It’s my turn to share a Mini Magnolia card for Magnolia-licious' July Mini Magnolia Challenge inspiration.

Diana has a huge collection of Mini Magnolia stamps in the store

My card today features “Tilda with Cherry Ice” and “Time for Ice Cream” from the Sea Breeze collection. My designer papers are from Doodlebug Sun Kissed collection paired with Bazzill cardstock. I used my Lawn Fawn stitched dies for my frame and DP panels.

I found the cutest ice cream cone at Silhouette for my ice cream cone die cut. The “Summer” word die cut is also from Silhouette and my sun border is a La-La-Land Club Kit die. With the flowers, vintage seam binding on the Doodlebug tag it all ties together for a colorful summer card.

Here’s a close up of Tilda and the Ice Cream stand colored with Copics.

I hope you join in for the challenge this month. There is still plenty of time to get your “MINI ON!” LOL

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Midweek Magnolias - Anything Goes with an option of Easter

Happy Hump Day, Friends!

The Midweek Magnolias are back with a new challenge. This fortnight our theme is…

“Anything Goes with the option of Easter”

Join us for the challenge and follow the theme and our roolz and you may have a chance to win a surprise from Magnolia Sweden.

My card features “Little Miss Tilda.” She is adorable in her little bunny suit.  I colored Tilda with Distress Inks’, cut her out and attached her with fun foam.

My designer papers are from Maja Design of the New Haven collection paired with Bazzill cardstock.

The card shape is a Go Kreate XXL frame. My bunny was created with white fun foam and a bit of Pink Stickles for his nose and ears.

Here is a close up of Tilda.

I hope I’ve inspired you to join us for the challenge. Have a great week.

Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps Summer Blog Hop

Hello, Friends. Welcome to the Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps Blog Hop. If you are hopping along with us and you got here from Chris’s lovely blog then you are on the right track. To start from the beginning, go to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to see the lineup and all the wonderful creativity the DT will be sharing with you.

Our Hop theme is SUMMER!

When I think Summer I always think Amusement, Water, and Theme Parks. Disney World is by far my favorite but there are so many fun parks with rides, shows and entertainment galore.

As you can see my project is a paper crafted Horse Carousel. It’s a 3D cutting file available at Silhouette Cameo.

My project features 3 Mini Carousel Horses from the Magnolia-licious store. I colored them with Copics and decked out the Carousel with pretty Magnolia papers from the Butterfly Dreams collection.

I kept the embellishments simple with ribbon roses, string pearls, flowers and a Swarovski crystal with pearl top.

All Mini Magnolia Stamps are an extra 10% off on Mondays only....thru midnight PST each Monday. Enter "Mini Stamp Monday" in the comment section of your order to receive the discount as store credit. As always you can find the ENTIRE Mini Magnolia Collection HERE.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on any of the DT blogs and/or the Challenge blog for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during Wee Wednesday.

Check out the new “Deal of the Day” in the Magnolia-licious store HOME page. Diana has a special that she runs every 24 hours at a HUGE discount.

Your next stop is the extremely talented

I hope I’ve inspired you to create something fun for our Summer challenge. Enjoy the Blog Hop.

It's Mini Monday

Good Morning, Friends. I hope all you lovely moms out in blogland had a great Mother’s Day. My DH and I celebrated with a little shopping (for me) and grilling out on Saturday evening with my daughter, son-in-law and grandson. The weather here has finally turned to spring and we’ve had nice warm temps and a little rain which our garden is in sorely need.

My Mini Monday DT sisters, Suzanne and Ruby have been busy creating some fun projects and cards to inspire you. We love our Mini Magnolias.

My daughter, Abi, has a birthday coming up in June and I thought this would be a great time to create the packaging for her gift. It is a small round box I cut from a Silhouette Cameo file using designer papers from Pink Paislee. The contents are a secret though...however I am making something special for her and this box is the perfect size.

I used the sweet “Mini Happy Princess Tilda” from the Once upon a Time collection for the gift tag. Tilda was colored with Copics and I die cut her from a new Spellbinders frame called Adorning Squares. Then I embossed the outer edge of the frame with Vintage Teal Fran-tage.

I added ribbon roses and pearls to the box with a pretty flower from Webster’s Pages to finish it off.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on the Challenge Blog or the DT blogs for a chance to win a prize from Magnolia-licious & Wee Stamps.

I’ll see you back here tomorrow for our new challenge for Magnolia-licious. Thanks for visiting and have a great week.

Midweek Magnolias - Colour Blue

Hello, Friends and Happy Hump Day! The Midweek Magnolias Design Team has a new challenge for you and this week we are playing with the colour “Blue.” That’s easy right?

Go to the Midweek Magnolias Challenge Blog for inspiration from the DT’s gorgeous creations and leave a comment on their blogs. These girls are such talented artists.

When you join us for the challenge you’ll have a chance to win a fabulous Mystery Prize from Magnolia Sweden.

I decided to make a Crisscross card for the challenge to inspire you and used lots of pretty blue and I added some pink colors for a girly card. “Tilda with Love Cake” from the 2013 Love Collection is my main character from Magnolia-licious and I decided Birthday had to be the theme. This will make the perfect Birthday card for a young girl.

My papers are all from Magnolia and cardstock is Bazzill. I machine stitched my panels with blue thread and it stands out nicely. The lace is from a Scrapbook Expo I attended last October with my daughter but I can’t even remember the store name. I used some fun Magnolia die cuts for my crisscross trim and Tilda tag. The frames are from Spellbinders. I’ve had these for a while but never used them.

The inside features mini Tilda with Birthday Cake also colored with Copics. I die cut her with my Magnolia tag die so that you can pull the tag and the entire base come out of the crisscross pocket.

Here’s close ups of my Tildas.

Supplies
Stamps: Tilda with Love Cake, Tilda with Birthday Cake, Magnolia; Sentiments, Hero Arts
Cardstock: Bazzill
Designer Papers: Magnolia
Dies/Punches: Magnolia; Spellbinders; Marianne Designs; Nellie Snellen

I’m entering this project in the following Challenges:

My Paper Pieced Cowboy

Hello, Friends and Happy Monday. I hope you had a great weekend. Our weather this week was so extreme!!! I mean really, really, really extreme. We had 70 degree temps with high winds and 7 inches of snow within 24 hours. So, the saying goes here in Colorado…I’ve said this before…If you don’t like the weather, wait a few hours. And of course with the temps and spring like conditions comes the spring heat. OMG, my ducks are courting already and the birds are inspecting all of the bird houses around the ranch. OK, so enough of that…

Our new challenge is up at Craft Your Passion and this week our theme is “Paper Piecing.” This is such a fun technique, if you’ve never tried it, you gotta cuz it is so fun. OK, I'll say it again, it's so FUN!  Our sponsor this week is AiFactory and I am using “Cowboy” for my card. Very typical for me since I’m a ranch livin’ and lovin’ cowgirl myself. And you gotta check out my DT girlfriends' projects too cuz they are awesome.

I used some digital papers for my Cowboy’s hat, vest, boots, plaid shirt and bandana for the paper piecing. I used Copics to color the remainder of my image’s skin, hair and Cowboy’s chaps and belt.
I also wanted to enhance the scene so I used my Mini Magnolia Butterfly Scene stamp as the background. The wheat paper was heat embossed with Seafoam embossing powder from Ranger on Bazzill cardstock using a Hero Arts stamp.
I added some dimensional elements of punched stars and jute twine for the card and finished it off with some gold stickles for the stars on my image’s chaps and hat as well as Copic Silver Spica for his belt buckle.

I used so many Copics for this image especially the background that I didn’t take a photo of the colors. Sorry, but the rubber band broke and that was all she wrote. Time to skip that part…LOL. I hope you will join in the fun for this Challenge cuz you are gonna love it.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges.

Tilda with Armful of Tulips

Hello Friends! I have a short post today with a card I made for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Easter-Spring Extravaganza Contest. It’s for category #2 - "Magnolia Minis Only" on an Easter/Spring themed card.

What a great opportunity to use my new mini Tilda with armful of Tulips. She is water colored with Distress Inks by Ranger. I have to be honest, this is my very first completed card using Distress Ink water color. I’ve been learning from the fabulous Angie Hunt at the Color Me Creative (CMC) Classroom hosted by the exceptionally talented Suzanne Dean. It is my favorite place to learn new techniques with a variety of mediums and make lots of great friends along the way.

My Spellbinders Scallop die is perfect for my flower shaped easel card. I used some pretty SEI and KaiserKraft DPs from my stash and cut a circle for a shadow box effect for Tilda. For the flower petals I sprayed some white Prima flowers with Glimmer mist and cut the petals apart and glued them around the opening of the shadow box. Then I added pearl ribbon around the edge. This was so simple and took very little time.

To make the stem on the inside of my easel card I freehand cut a strip of green cardstock and punched some leaves with my Martha Stewart Fond punch. I adhered it with dimensional foam tape and finished it off with a bow from some scrap ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed my card. And as always, thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit.
