Happy Hump Day, Friends! We have a new challenge for you at
Midweek Magnolias. This fortnight our theme is…
“Lacey Lace”
Don’t you just love Lace? It is one of my mainstays and on
almost every card I make. My friend, Suzanne Dean, shared a link with friends
on her Color Me Creative FB site to the fabulous Lavish Laces Etsy Store. OMGoodness,
I love it all. But my wallet would see some serious ramifications had I gone
crazy. LOL
So I played it safe and got lots of pretties for a very low
price. Of course, I use my Etsy card sales to fund some of those extra expenses
for new embellies, stamps, etc.
My DT card features the NEW “Sagittarius Tilda” from the new Zodiac collection. She just happens to be my sign since my birthday is in late
November. She is adorable and sporting a bow and arrow. I received a compound
bow for my birthday. It needs adjusting since my strength has left me in my old
age. Ok, you can stop laughing. LOL
I colored Tilda with Copics and gave her a shaded background to
make her POP. I used some pretty papers from Kaisercraft and My Dear Watson
with vintage pink, red and brown/ivory colors. I love how these work together.
My Lacey Lace was a freebee “Thank You” gift with purchase from the fabulous
store owner Jaizella Clark. Check out her store here.
Here’s a close up of Tilda.
I hope my project inspires you to join us for the challenge. Have
a fabulous week.

Oh Cath, your card is beautiful! I love that you've colored Tilda in green while the background colors are the beiges and reds. Perfect! The eye goes right to Tilda! On a side note, years ago, when I was into archery, my first few attempts left my inner forearm an ugly black from elbow to wrist from slamming the string into my arm, LOL. Live and learn!
XO,
Chris
Gorgeous card! I love the colors you chose.

Karen
